Initial Consultation:

During our initial consultation, we thoroughly explore every detail to earn the privilege of working with you. We'll delve into your needs, establish a budget, discuss finishes and preliminary specifications, and arrange future appointments.


We put in unwavering effort to fully understand your needs and ensure there are no discrepancies between the budget and your expectations before you commit to us.

Engaging Services:

At this stage, you’ve chosen to move forward with Crafted Design Build as your trusted partner in the home-building process. The next step is entering into a Design Agreement.


This agreement does not commit you to construction. Instead, it outlines the preliminary services we will provide — including design development, project planning, and permitting — and reflects our mutual commitment to work collaboratively toward your vision.


Upon signing the Design Agreement, we’ll establish a target start window and reserve your project in our schedule.

Preliminary Planning:

Once the Design Agreement is signed, we begin laying the groundwork for your project with the following steps:

  • Coordinate site surveys and percolation tests as needed
  • Research your property deed and review local zoning or ordinance requirements
  • Begin the design development and planning process
  • Prepare detailed project specifications and define interior finish scopes
  • Guide you through selections for cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, finishes, and more — ensuring every detail aligns with your vision and lifestyle

Final Documents & Permitting:

The preliminary planning process culminates in the creation of your final construction drawings, proposed specifications, completed site and septic system plans, and other relevant documents.


At this stage, we submit applications for all necessary permits, begin preparing your final cost estimate, and address any remaining details.

Formal Agreement:

Once we have obtained all necessary permits and agreed on the final pricing, we enter into a formal agreement to begin constructing your home. This agreement includes fixed pricing.


Your pricing will only change if you request modifications during construction, which can either increase or decrease the cost. We guarantee a delivery date for your project and include a penalty clause to protect you in case of delays.

Construction Phase:

We start your project by managing every detail on a daily basis. The CRAFTED team is on-site to ensure quality in every aspect of construction. We maintain consistent communication with you throughout the process, providing regular progress photos through our password protected project management software accessible only to the homeowner. Our oversight and construction expertise guarantee top quality and on-time completion.

Delivery & Warranty:

Once construction is complete, the Town will conduct its final inspection and issue a Certificate of Occupancy. Afterward, a thorough cleaning will be performed, followed by a final walk-through inspection with the homeowner. During this walk-through, the CRAFTED team will explain all the systems in the house and provide a comprehensive Home Systems binder with all user manuals. Our goal is to deliver a defect-free, clean home, ready for your furniture. Any deficiencies noted during the walk-through will be promptly addressed. CRAFTED's one-year warranty begins at this point, including scheduled reviews at 1, 3, and 6 months, and again at the end of the year.
